Here’s how subscriptions work:
Each time you click “read more” on a post, it’s a click. You get six free clicks each month. So if you’re a person who just visits this site occasionally, you won’t have to do anything. Each month, your counter will reset and you’ll get six more articles. And remember, everything else on the site – message boards, daily news, etc. – are free and won’t count against your clicks.
If you’re someone who has come to enjoy the Illini coverage here and you reach that six click limit, we ask that you subscribe. The price is $24 for the year. If you’d like to subscribe for one month, it’s $3.
If you’re a subscriber and you’ve started seeing the little blue ticket again, it’s possible your year-long subscription has expired. The easiest way to renew? Click on that ticket. You can then log in to our subscription service and renew that way.
When you subscribe, you’ll receive a login and password from TinyPass, the service that monitors our subscribers. Log in to TinyPass one time with that login and password and you’re good for a full year. On rare occasion – a full clear-out of cache and cookies, for example – you might have to log in again. So if you start seeing the “ticket” pop up that tells you how many reads you have remaining that month, click on it. There’s a spot at the bottom where existing subscribers can enter their email and password again.
Here’s the link to subscribe. And thanks. Seriously – thanks a ton.
